Hello, I ordered my Magicbands March 10th to be delivered to our house and we leave on March 21st and I just saw an alert that they are taking longer to ship. I am concerned that they won't show up in time. Can I switch them to deliver to our hotel?

Hi, Shelby! How exciting your Walt Disney World vacation is only a few days away. I bet you are so excited.

Since it is so close to our vacation and you are pretty sure your MagicBands are not going to arrive in time, I suggest giving the MagicBand help hotline a call at (407) 939-4357. The Cast Member helping you will be able to let you know if you can pick them up at your Walt Disney Resort Hotel or if your MagicBands are already in transit come up with a solution that works best for you.

I know you purchased MagicBands and are probably excited to use them but I do suggest also downloading the MyDisneyExperience app to your smartphone before your trip. On the app, you are able to check-in to your hotel before you arrive that way you can bypass the front desk. You can find all sorts of information about the resort you are staying at like dining options and a map to help you get around easier. When your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room is ready, on the day you check-in, you'll be notified via a push notification and your room number will be displayed on the app. Did you know that the MyDisneyExperience app can even unlock your Walt Disney World Resort room's door? It's really cool. Just open the app and touch the three horizontal lines icon on the bottom right of your screen.  Next, select "Resort Hotel". This will pull up all sorts of information about your resort but you should see a button that says, "Unlock Door". Click that and then hold your phone up to the Mickey on your door and watch it work its magic. This is always a popular hit with kids, my daughter loves opening the door with a phone. Also on the MyDisneyExperience app you'll see wait times for attractions throughout the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and be able to mobile order food. Currently, most quick-service dining locations are only accepting Mobile Order which is why the app is so important right now. When you are ready to eat, open up the app and select those three horizontal lines on the bottom right of your screen again. You should see a "Mobile Order" option. Once that is select you'll be able to choose a restaurant, view and customize your order and even pay all from your smartphone. When your order is ready, you'll receive a push notification letting you know where you can pick it up inside the restaurant. It's actually really convenient and I would be happy if this feature stays even after things go back to normal.

Shelby, I hope you are able to call today to see what is going on with your MagicBand order. I know that the Cast Member helping you will be able to get it all sorted out. If you have any other questions before you leave in just a few days, you can always come back and ask me

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
