Welcome back to planDisney and thank you for your question! It sounds like you’ll be going to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, that will be so much fun!
Unfortunately, when you purchase a MagicBand/
MagicBand+ at those pre-arrival prices through the
My Disney Experience mobile app, there are no returns or exchanges. From my experience, if you purchased through the app and chose to send it to the hotel, you’d just need to retrieve it from your Disney Resorts Collection hotel upon arrival.
Since you can’t return or exchange that MagicBand, I suggest potentially purchasing MagicBand+ at either Disneyland or Walt Disney World store locations if you’d like to use some of the new, fun features. If you decide to purchase at either Resort, keep in mind that the features and experiences may vary by Resort and that the prior generation of MagicBands won’t work in Disneyland. You can however use the older MagicBand at Walt Disney World.
