Hi Lisa! Thanks for bringing your question to us at planDisney.
I know a lot of Guests were eagerly anticipating the
launch of MagicBand+ and held off ordering their MagicBands until July 27 when they were released. I actually waited to order my Annual Passholder MagicBand for over a year! I would imagine the system has been flooded with orders since the release date. Typically, processing and shipping time is approximately 10 business days, however, this is simply an estimate. I did notice a message in my order confirmation email that stated due to current events, some shipments and deliveries may be delayed. I'll wish upon a star that your MagicBands find you before you head to the airport, but if not, you still have options!
If you happen to have MagicBands from a previous visit, you are welcome to
reuse them. Any and all MagicBands linked to your profile will work with your current reservations and tickets. Even if your MagicBands are a few years old, they will still work at any "Mickey to Mickey" touch points. What may no longer work is the long-range battery, which is used to "automagically" connect your on-ride
Disney PhotoPass photos to your account. A way to get around this issue is to create a
Disney MagicMobile pass in the
My Disney Experience mobile app and save it to the digital wallet on your device. A Disney MagicMobile pass uses Bluetooth to connect your photos, and
can also be used in much the same way as a MagicBand -- for theme park admission, entrance to Lightning Lanes attractions booked with
Disney Genie+, and charging purchases to your Disney Resort Hotel room folio. Of course, I understand that you might be disappointed if your MagicBands don't arrive in time for your trip, but the good news is you will be able to use them the NEXT time you visit Walt Disney World Resort.
Lisa, if you have any additional questions, please stop by and see us again. We are always happy to help. Have a wonderful vacation!
