Hi Laura!
Welcome to planDisney! So glad to hear that you will be celebrating a special occasion at Walt Disney World. Your question simply takes the cake...literally! We can figure out together the best recipe for ordering a cake for your celebration.
All the details for ordering a Specialty Cake are outlined
here, including participating restaurants. Sounds like you are well aware of the methods available by phone for adding a cake to a dining reservation. First, there’s the Walt Disney World dining reservations line (407) WDW-DINE as well as the Walt Disney World Cake Ordering Hotline at (407) 827-2253. So sorry that the wait times for placing this order by phone have been long. Let’s find a substitute that will be the icing on this cake!
I just found out that Guests may be able to use the
Mobile Ordering feature in the
My Disney Experience app to order a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake from a Quick Service restaurant. Isn’t that awesome news? My fellow panelists were gushing over this as if we were Anna and Elsa going nuts over chocolate together! Speaking of chocolate, the two varieties I have seen offered using the mobile app are a Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache and a Vanilla Cake with White Chocolate Ganache. So choose wisely! FYI: Both are sized to feed 4-6 Guests.
Another option would be to place a cake order with
Amorette's Patisserie in
Disney Springs. You would have to pick it up yourself, but these cakes are definitely worth the extra effort! To pre-order, call (407) 934-3500 or visit Amorette’s at least 72 hours in advance.
No matter how you slice it, a custom celebratory cake is an excellent idea. Wishing you good luck on your cake quest and a fantastic Disney vacation!
