In order to run the Princess Half Marathon do I need to do any kind of qualifying runs, or can I just register?

    Hi Sheri,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Me and a few of my fellow "Moms" ran the Princess 1/2 Marathon this past March, and it truly was the experience of a lifetime!

A qualifying run is not required to register for this event, however if you do not have a proof of time you will be placed in the last corral.  You can see the requirements by clicking HERE and scrolling down.

Now I will give you a bit of advice, if you do intend finishing within 2:45 I would highly recommend running a qualifying race to get that proof of time.  This was my first 1/2 marathon, so I was in the final corral - at the back of the pack.  I spent a lot of time dodging in and out of other participants and it did a number on my knees (not to mention my time).  There were more than 11,000 participants that finished this race, many of them were walkers - so being in the last corral really left a lot of traffic ahead of me to contend with.

    Good luck and have fun!
