Hi Alexandra!
I'm excited to welcome you back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I have a confession: I love booking Port Adventures and activities onboard at midnight (EST) the day my advance booking window opens! I know my family members think I'm crazy, but it's so much fun (to me) jumping on the Disney Cruise Line website at midnight (EST) in order to try scheduling all the activities and adventures we've been planning during the months leading up to our advance booking window!
Once your cruise is paid in full and your advance booking window opens, you will be able to book reservations online for Port Adventures, Character Greetings, adult-exclusive dining and other activities onboard
before you complete each step of the online check-in process. If you are worried about some Port Adventures or activities filling up quickly, I suggest reviewing the steps on
how to book an activity for your upcoming cruise and go ahead and book activities before completing the online check-in the day your advance booking window opens.
I just want to mention that in order to receive a designated
Port Arrival Time on the day of embarkation, you'll need to complete the steps of your online check-in. Typically, the earliest Port Arrival Times are the most popular; if it's important to your family that you try to get an early Port Arrival time, you may want to consider going through the steps of the online check-in first, before booking your onboard activities.
Alexandra, so long as your cruise is paid in full, it's totally up to you what you do first on the day your advance booking window opens! I'm so excited for you and will be sending loads of pixie dust your way in the hopes you book everything you want!
Beth
