Which order of parks should we visit on June 9-11 and June 14th with 2 kids ages 7 & 9. Does each park require a full day or are there parks that are good to double up in one day without being overwhelming and tiring.

    Hi Beth,

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with a question!

The good news is that there is no "wrong" answer to this question. When my kids were the ages of yours, we always started with EPCOT. They loved Soarin' Around the World, Test Track, and Mission: SPACE and meandering around World Showcase. Also, now, the new fireworks show, Luminous The Symphony of Us is fantastic. We would then visit Magic Kingdom on our second day. Disney's Hollywood Studios is great on the third day, and Disney's Animal Kingdom could be the last park visited.

Having said that, as our kids got older, we started with Magic Kingdom. Whatever order you decide, remember that some parks have rides that have virtual queues. At EPCOT, my girls love Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. So, we always plan to try to access the virtual queue or purchase Individual Lightning Lane Entry. If you have tickets with the Park Hopper® option, I would suggest visiting EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios on the same day because you can use the Disney Skyliner between the parks.

With kids the ages of yours, it's also fine to not try to visit more than one park per day. Enjoy the parks and go at their pace. They may need to take a break in the middle of the day. We would go back to the resort in the afternoon and relax, take a nap, or head to the pool. Although our visits were always so much fun, if I had a chance to redo those visits when they were younger, I would spend more time at the pool or enjoying the activities at the resort.

Beth, take a minute to review your transportation options as you consider park hopping. Also check the height requirements for attractions. The most important questions, however are - do you have matching shirts and do you have Memory Maker to capture the memories? We always do at least one day of matching shirts. Check out the possibilities from the Disney Store. In the meantime, your date is getting closer! Make sure to have a few advanced dining reservations, especially for at least one character meal. Let the countdown to the magic begin!

    Magic and memories,
