Hello, Betty! Welcome to planDisney! I am so glad that you have found us and you have brought your question to us.
Oh boy, your magical trip to the Walt Disney World Resort will be here a month from now. You and your husband will be able to join the
World’s Most Magical Celebration along with all the events created just for the event.
Disney’s Enchantment is my new favorite nighttime spectacular. Shown almost nightly, subject to change, this show combines breathtaking fireworks, castle and building projections, and a new theme song. This is the perfect way to end a magical day in the Magic Kingdom.
As a Guest with my own mobility issues, I have a few tips for you when looking to rent an Electric Conveyance Vehicle or ECV.
Guests can rent an ECV in all Disney Theme Parks and Disney Springs. Unfortunately, you cannot reserve an ECV in advance. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. They also cannot be removed from the location in which they are rented. Currently, the daily theme park rate is $50 a day plus a $20 deposit (subject to change). The Disney Springs deposit is $100 (also subject to change). If you rent an ECV in one park, and plan to park hop or visit Disney Springs on the same day, keep your receipt. You will not have to pay another rental fee. Simply show your receipt and pay the deposit, to rent in a new location.
If you are going to be staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can rent an ECV from Disney’s Featured Provider, ScooterBug. This will allow you to have an ECV for your entire stay. Your ECV will be delivered and picked up at your resort, without you needing to be there. You can contact ScooterBug at (800) 726-8284 to arrange to rent an ECV that suits your needs. I have used ScooterBug during my last 4 or 5 visits and have been very pleased with them. ECVs easily fit on all modes of Walt Disney World Resort Transportation, bus, monorail, Skyliner, and most watercraft. Just about all attraction queues can accommodate an ECV now, the ones that cannot will require your husband to transfer to a wheelchair, provided at the attraction, so he can reach the boarding area. If you have any more questions regarding guests with mobility issues, you can reach out to the Disability Services team at (407) 506-2547 or by email at disabilityservices@disneyparks.com.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
