Hi there, Judith!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for stopping by with your question about transportation while at Walt Disney World Resort! The complimentary transportation at Walt Disney World makes it so convenient and easy to get from theme park to theme park or Walt Disney Resort Hotel to Hotel and everything in between! Whether you travel by bus, boat, monorail or the new
Disney Skyliner, the transfers are seamless for Guests trying to get from one place to another!
The
Walt Disney World Resort Monorail System has three different lines – the Resort Monorail, the Epcot Monorail and the Express Monorail. The Resort Monorail makes the following stops (in order): Magic Kingdom Park,
Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and the Transportation and Ticket Center. So, if leaving from Magic Kingdom Park, the first stop would be Disney’s Contemporary Resort! The Epcot Monorail offers direct, round-trip transfers from Epcot to the Transportation and Ticket Center and the Express Monorail offers direct, round-trip transfers from Magic Kingdom Park to the Transportation and Ticket Center.
While always subject to change, the monorail begins operating 30 minutes prior to the day’s first park opening and will operate for one hour after the day’s latest park closing! I hope this information was helpful to you!
