Hi Lisa! Thanks for bringing your question about MagicBands to planDisney! I'm a huge fan of the convenience, style, and fun of wearing MagicBands around the parks, and I know how important it is to get the exact one you've been dreaming of for your magical vacation.
If you are preordering
MagicBands through My Disney Experience for your travel party as a Guest at a Disney Resort Collections hotel, you do have to select and order for all members of your party at the same time. Unfortunately, if you decline any member's band, you will not be able to go back and select one for that guest at a later time.
I know this isn't the magic you were hoping for, but there are a few options that I can offer to help! The inventory and styles offered online are constantly changing, so one option is to check back frequently for the ones you are hoping to find. Another option is to order them through
shopDisney, where you may find additional styles not currently available through My Disney Experience. Finally, you can purchase MagicBands on property once you arrive for your vacation; they are available for purchase in select retail stores in resort hotels, theme parks, and Disney Springs.
I also spoke with a Cast Member to verify this process, and she did say that if you want to make changes to your MagicBand order after initially placing it, you can call the
My Disney Experience, MagicBand, and MagicBand+ number directly to request them to reopen it for you. As long as it is two weeks ahead of your trip to allow for processing time, they should be able to assist you with this request!
