Do I have to order the magic bands? Will I get any paperwork in mail?

Hi Amy, and welcome to planDisney!

MagicBands are popular items to have in your reach when you visit Walt Disney World Resort! There are some great reasons to have one, but it is not necessary or required to purchase a MagicBand or MagicBand+. Alternatively, as a Disney Resort guest, you can use the My Disney Experience mobile app to open the door to your resort, and it will “house” your theme park tickets, which can be saved to the digital wallet on your phone. You will not receive paperwork in the mail, but if you have a Walt Disney World Resort vacation reserved, you can check into your resort, and it will give you the option to “Choose MagicBands.”

Be sure to make your theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass Reservation System once your theme park tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account.

We will be here if you have additional questions; just let us know how we can help.

    Have a magical time!
