Thank you for visiting with such a good question. It is true to say that the new premium
MagicBands have been very popular! My tip for anyone waiting for a specific MagicBand to come back into stock, is to check every day, as they are constantly being replenished. My recent personal experience of this is once you have placed your order for these - even if it's only for one member of your party - you cannot go back and edit this order. I ordered a premium MagicBand for myself, but not for the rest of my family, and I instantly received an email to say "Your MagicBand package will be waiting for you at your Disney Resort hotel." (I am from the UK, and International Guests do not have their MagicBand shipped to their home address.) Also on
My Disney Experience it now states that "Ordering is closed". So, when ordering a premium MagicBand for all, or some of your family, please ensure that everyone else has already chosen their solid-colour complimentary band, as you will not have the opportunity to update any part of the order.
This is different to when ordering the regular plain-coloured complimentary MagicBands, as you can still edit your order up until 11 days prior to your expected arrival date (unless you have included a premium MagicBand in your selection).
If you have missed the opportunity to purchase your premium MagicBand through My Disney Experience, a wide selection of MagicBands, including limited editions, are available for purchase at select stores around the theme parks and at
Disney Springs. You can also order them online from
shopDisney. It's worth having a look, as I have found some lovely designs that I am still using during my holidays at Walt Disney World.
