    If I order magic bands now how do they get activated? We are going thanksgiving week.

    Hi Terry,

    If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you will receive MagicBands as a part of your resort stay. You will be able to customize your bands on My Disney Experience. They will be linked to your account and ready to go!

    If you are staying off site you can order MagicBands from the Disney Store online. When you receive the MagicBands, you will be able to link them to your My Disney Experience account. If you look under "My Account" you should see "MagicBands and Cards." From that point you can link your new MagicBands. 

    You don't have to "activate" MagicBands. You only need to link them to your account to you can start using them.
