Hey there, Space Ranger! Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you're gearing up for a pretty big adventure, Rafael! You'll have quite the journey to Walt Disney World
coming all the way from Australia. But your most out-of-this-world experience just might begin at EPCOT!
Now, my family is a big fan of
Space 220 Restaurant. From the second you "blast off" until you come back down to Earth, you'll feel like you're truly dining among the stars. On our visit this past June, my 6-year-old actually thought we'd left the planet (a thought that unnerved him as much as it thrilled him!). I'm so excited to help you plan your own interstellar experience, so let's
launch into your question!
First of all, it's hard to say exactly how long your visit to Space 220 will take. Our last visit lasted about 90 minutes from start to finish, but I'd recommend setting aside 2 hours, just in case things don't move along at light speed. You'll want plenty of time to enjoy that
3-course prix fixe meal!
Since
Space 220 Lounge doesn't serve the same 3-course meal as the restaurant, you'll need less time if you decide to eat there. While the lounge serves
light bites (also known as "Flight Bites") instead of a full menu, they do offer several items from the restaurant menu. This includes my very favorite Space 220 starter, the Blue Moon Cauliflower!
No matter which option you choose, remember to make your
Advance Dining Reservation as soon as possible. If you're staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can make dining reservations 60 days before check-in, for the entire length of your stay (up to 10 days). If you're staying elsewhere, you can make your reservation 60 days before your visit.
One last tip?
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is my FAVORITE Disney World rollercoaster, and it's super close to Space 220 Restaurant. My daughter and I booked a
Lightning Lane for Guardians just before our reservation at Space 220, and we loved how it felt to go from one space-themed attraction to another!
I hope this helps, Rafael, and that your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is nothing short of spectacular! If you have any other questions as you plot your celestial expedition, you know
where to find me right here at planDisney.
To infinity and beyond,
Allison
