Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Aaron. We're so glad you stopped by!
Sanaa is my family's absolute favorite dining location at the Walt Disney World Resort. This unique restaurant serves up incredible African and Indian inspired dishes
and stunning views of the Sunset Savanna at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. What could be better than that?
To answer your question, you
may be able to order an item from the dinner menu during a lunch hour. It certainly never hurts to politely ask! My oldest son is a super picky eater and before Sanaa had lots of kid-friendly items on the children's menu, the kitchen was always happy to make my little guy a naan pizza. If the friendly staff at Sanaa is not able to accommodate your request, I recommend ordering a Journey and Harvest selection from the Potjie Inspired option on the menu. This dish is so popular among Guests, it's offered during
lunch and
dinner!
To be
absolutely sure you can order items from the dinner menu, I have a few suggestions. First, I recommend you continue to check the online reservation system between now and the time of your visit. Guests often change their plans and you may very well find availability pop up for a reservation in the early dinner hours! In the meantime, book the 7:00 PM reservation. If you are unable to modify it to an earlier time, you can still enjoy the beautiful views at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village! You can arrive early and take advantage of the many recreational activities offered to hotel Guests and visiting Guests, alike. My family once unintentionally arrived an hour early for our reservation and we were able to take a virtual tour of a Cultural Representative's homeland, play African games, and spend time on the savanna overlook with an Animal Specialist, all before sitting down to dinner! Now, a walk onto the savanna overlook is a must-do for my kids before we dine at Sanaa. They love the up-close encounters with the animals who are extra active in the evening, and I don't mind relaxing in one of the rocking chairs in front of a crackling bonfire!
One last Sanaa tip: you simply must order the Indian-Style Bread Service with five types of naan and nine different accompaniments. My mouth is watering just thinking of it! I promise you'll enjoy it as much as my family does.
I hope this was helpful, Aaron. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
