Howdy, Stacy! Welcome to planDisney!
I see that you're from the great state of New York, like me! I love to see fellow New Yorkers who enjoy the magic of Walt Disney World Resort. While there's no place quite like our amazing state, deep down I think Walt Disney World comes really close.
Let's hop in and get your question answered. You actually have a few options that I want to be sure you know about. Once you take a photo at select locations with a
Disney PhotoPass photographer, be sure to link it to your My Disney Experience account. You can do this either by having the photographer scan your MagicBand or MagicBand+, theme park ticket or annual pass after they've snapped your photo. After a few minutes, you'll head to the My Disney Experience app and tap on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner (☰), and tap Photo Gallery. You'll see all the photos you've taken, and they'll have Disney PhotoPass watermarks on them. You can select the photo(s) you'd like and purchase digital copies of them right in the app. Once you've purchased them, the watermarks will disappear. At this time, individual downloads can be purchased at $16.95 each. I've found that if you access
My Disney Experience from the Walt Disney World website and click on My Photos, then select the photo you'd like to purchase you also have the option to buy physical prints along with your downloads.
Stacy, in addition to this option you can also purchase
Memory Maker for one day of your trip. This service provides you with access to all of the PhotoPass photos and videos from any one day of your vacation. This is a great option for you if you are interested in purchasing 5 or more of your photos, as it currently costs $85. This is a steal if you're like me and can never choose just a few photos from your trip. When I'm using this option, I prepare my family for the expectation of taking as many photos as we need on that one day and ensure that we all look great.
I personally love Disney's PhotoPass service because it gives me the chance to be in the photos instead of just taking them or asking someone to take one for me with my phone. The photos are all high quality, and the PhotoPass photographers are so good at capturing magical moments. You can even ask your photographer for special
Magic Shots that really bring the Disney magic into your photos.
Stacy, I hope this information is helpful. Please come back any time if you need more help planning your visit to the magic!
Your pal,
Sakinah
