Welcome back to planDisney, Lauren and thanks for stopping by with your question!
With the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Walt Disney World Resort kicking off October 1st, you'll certainly be in for some extra pixie dust at every turn. Make sure to
read about some of the merriment you'll find before you arrive.
Now, Lauren, while extra Magic in acknowledgment of the 50th anniversary is
just around the river bend, no trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is complete without dining, so let's talk about to-go options. Currently there are a few restaurants that offer a to-go option through the My Disney Experience Mobile App including
Sanaa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani Village,
Trattoria al Forno at Disney's BoardWalk,
Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney's Yacht Club, Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort,
Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney's Wilderness Lodge,
Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and
Olivia's Cafe at Disney's Old Key West Resort. Beyond those I've listed, it is
possible you will be able to order to-go at your favorite restaurant, but not guaranteed. Lauren, a friend of mine recently inquired about ordering food from
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort. She was told yes because the restaurant wasn't "too busy" that evening. My best advice is to inquire with the first Cast Member you see at your favorite restaurant as you never know when Tinker Bell's pixie dust will allow you to carry out some delicious dishes.
Best wishes as you're planning ahead for dining around the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have additional questions, please come on back to planDisney where our love of eating is only topped by Chef Remy's love of cooking.
