Can you order gluten free birthday cakes?

Hi Megan! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

Unfortunately, the Mickey Celebration Cakes, while yummy and a festive way to celebrate, contain gluten and other allergens. I know that's probably disappointing, but Disneyland Resort has great sweet treats that are gluten-allergy-friendly, including two classics--the Mickey's Ice Cream Bar at ice cream carts throughout Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park and Dole Whip, which you can find at the Tiki Juice Bar and The Tropical Hideaway in Adventureland at Disneyland Park or Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill at Disneyland Hotel. Those two treats are my favorites!

In the realm of gluten-allergy-friendly bakery goods, you'll find a jam-filled cookie, The IncrediCookie, at Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park. This is not your average cookie! It's incredibly big, which makes it an extra special and sharable treat if you feel like sharing. If you're more of a chocolate fan, try the gluten-allergy-friendly Chocolate Chip Cookie at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park. You can also pick up this cookie at another spot on Main Street, U.S.A.--Refreshment Corner--and both locations feature Mobile Order. Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe also has a Blueberry Muffin, which is gluten-allergy-friendly and could double as a quick breakfast treat. Outside of the parks, you'll find a Gluten-Allergy-Friendly Fudge Brownie at The Coffee House at Disneyland Hotel, as well as the Gluten-Allergy-Friendly Chocolate Chip Cookie.

Offerings and ingredients change regularly, so always double-check, as I'm sure you're accustomed to doing. You can look for allergy-friendly menu options on the Disneyland mobile app and speak with a helpful Cast Member at Quick Service locations, who will happily assist you in making a selection. You can also request a Gluten-Allergy-Friendly Menu at Table Service locations and ask to speak with the chef to discuss your particular dietary needs. They are always looking to accommodate Guests' needs.

    Happy celebratory snacking!
