Can I order a cake to be delivered to my room so that it is there at check in? And can I do anything extra for a special occasion trip?

Hi Diane, and welcome to planDisney.

Whatever you’re celebrating, there’s no better place to do it than at the Most Magical Place on Earth. I’m sure your trip will be special from the moment you arrive.

For in-room surprises, Disney Floral & Gifts is the go-to option for creating something memorable. They offer themed gifts for just about any occasion, from birthdays and anniversaries to engagements and even “just because” surprises. You’ll find balloon bouquets, flower arrangements, and snack-filled baskets that can be customized to fit your celebration. At this time, I don’t see an option to have a cake delivered directly to your room before check-in. All deliveries are made to your resort’s Front Desk, and either you or another Guest on your reservation will need to be present for it to be brought to your room. Alternatively, you can pick up your order from the Front Desk at your convenience.

If you’d like to add a cake to your celebration, you can still do so through the Enchanting Extras Collection. Many table-service restaurants across Walt Disney World allow you to pre-order a Mickey Celebration Cake that can be brought to your table during your meal. It’s a great way to surprise someone after dinner, and they’re delicious too.

Speaking of the Enchanting Extras Collection, that’s one of my favorite ways to enhance any trip. From a private fireworks cruise to a dessert party or a Capture Your Moment photo session, there are plenty of ways to make your stay unforgettable. If you’re looking to relax, I can also recommend the spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Spa. It’s an excellent spot to unwind and enjoy a little extra pampering.

For something simple but meaningful, don’t forget to pick up a complimentary celebration button. You can personalize it to mark your special occasion and pick one up at your resort’s Front Desk or any Guest Relations location.

And if you’re looking for a quiet and romantic way to end your evening, my wife and I always enjoy watching the fireworks from the beach at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Grab a drink from Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace, kick back in an Adirondack chair, and enjoy the view of Cinderella Castle across Seven Seas Lagoon. It’s a perfect way to celebrate together.

I hope this helps you plan the perfect start to your special trip, Diane. If you’d like any help choosing dining spots or a place to enjoy a celebratory cocktail, send another question my way. I’d be happy to help.

    Cheers,
    Brent
