Hi there, Jayson! Welcome to planDisney.
My stomach actually rumbled when I read this question. The ‘Ohana Bread Pudding a la Mode, with its incredible pour-it-yourself caramel sauce and bananas, is the stuff dreams are made of. I could happily live at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and just eat Dole Whips, drink Lapu Lapus, and eat this amazing bread pudding on repeat.
As part of the
phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort,
‘Ohana is temporarily unavailable. I know many Guests are eager for this fan-favorite to re-open, and I’m hoping we get some good news soon. A Cast Member confirmed that some ‘Ohana favorites are available at
Tambu Lounge and at
Kona Café. While it doesn’t officially appear on either menu, the ‘Ohana Bread Pudding has made an appearance at both restaurants. The Cast Member’s advice was to politely ask if the bread pudding is available today and hope for some pixie dust.
I would absolutely still recommend a dining reservation at Kona Café for your visit, Jayson. I love their sushi and noodle selection, and for dessert, the Banana Trifle has a similar flavor profile. The cocktail menu is also delicious, and I always order the Kona coffee press pot. Yum!
Thanks for stopping by with this delicious question. Here at planDisney, we LOVE eating, drinking, and snacking on all the things, and we are happy to help if you have any further questions as you dream about your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
