First things first. A very happy early birthday to your twins! Whether it's a birthday or the winter holidays, I can’t think of a better place to celebrate than Walt Disney World. The theme parks and hotels are decked out in their festive finest this time of year, and there are so many special offerings and events to put you in a holly jolly mood.
The first birthday must-do I’m going to mention is actually complimentary, but you’ll want to make sure you grab complimentary birthday buttons for your daughters. Just stop by guest services at any of the theme parks or Walt Disney World Resort hotel front desk, and a Cast Member will be happy to give you a birthday button. This way, Cast Members and characters around the resort will know your family is celebrating a special day and will be sure to wish your daughters an extra special pixie-dusted birthday!
Now, on to the cake! Because what would a birthday be without cake? Not only are there birthday-worth treats and desserts across the entire resort, but you can also order a customized Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake at participating table-service restaurants. You’ll find a list of participating dining locations and ordering information
here. You can also order beautiful specialty cakes through Amorette's Patisserie at Disney Springs. Ordering information and a gallery of their amazing work are available through their
website.
If you’d like to have something delivered to your room or waiting for you upon arrival, then you’ll want to check out the offerings at
Magical Floral and Gifts. They offer personalized in-room gifts to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and other special occasions.
There are plenty of places to get great photos at Walt Disney World, but if you’d like to commemorate your girls’ big birthday, I’d also suggest booking a
Capture Your Moment photo session. These private 20-minute photo sessions with a PhotoPass photographer are a great way to remember your celebratory Walt Disney World vacation. They are available at the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios.
