What are my options if I was unable to use my pixie pass within the year after purchase? Do I buy again, renew, are my pass options still just Pixie?

Hiya, Erika! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you've stopped by with your question.

Well, it sounds as if the magic is calling you, and I'm so happy to hear that you're answering the call! The magic called me, too, and I became a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder in 2015 and haven't regretted a single magical moment. Knowing that I can head to my happy place on a whim is truly priceless and brings joy to my everyday life. I'm so excited for you to experience this same joy and magic, and I'm more than happy to answer your question today.

According to the Disney Annual Pass Terms & Conditions at Walt Disney World Resort, when you purchase a Walt Disney World Annual Pass, you have one year from that date to activate your Annual Pass. If it has been over a year since your Disney Pixie Dust Pass purchase and your Pass was never activated, unfortunately, that means that the Pass is expired and can no longer be activated or renewed. I recommend logging in to your My Disney Experience app, tapping the three-line menu icon at bottom of the screen and then the "Tickets and Passes" tile to see if your Annual Pass certificate has, in fact, expired.

If your Annual Pass certificate has expired, Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" While the new sales of most Annual Passes have been paused, Florida residents do still have the option to purchase a Disney Pixie Dust Pass. If you purchase your new Pixie Dust Pass now, you can make your Theme Park Pass reservations for your upcoming June visit and then activate your Pass right before your first park visit. Then, your Annual Pass will expire one year from its activation date and first use.

Since the Pixie Dust Passes have blockout dates that include weekends, I always recommend adding on the Water Park and Sports Option to the Pass. Since the Water Park and Sports Option has no blockout dates, when you are blocked out of the theme parks, you will still be able to play in the water parks and more! It's magic time, Erika!

I hope this was helpful, Erika, and I'm wishing you a year of fun, magical memories and pixie dust! Please stop by any time with any questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!

    Blue skies and sunshine,

    Mandy
