Hi Jillianne, and welcome to planDisney!
Based on your question, you have a fun decision to make! I like having those types of options, especially when planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Choosing between
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and
Disney’s Pop Century Resort for a magical getaway with your 4-year-old is a tough decision, but no matter which route you decide to take, you will not go wrong. The way I see it, you have a very close resort to
Magic Kingdom Park, but you plan to visit Magic Kingdom Park for one day, meaning you could have a lengthy bus ride to any other theme park you might visit. On the other hand, Disney’s Pop Century is so much fun and fits into any budget. The bus ride to Magic Kingdom can be tiring, especially after a long day. That said, Disney’s Pop Century Resort provides
Disney Skyliner access, which means you could hop on to visit
EPCOT or
Disney’s Hollywood Studios quicker than riding the bus (if you chose to visit a second theme park). Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is the way to go if you want convenience and proximity to Magic Kingdom Park. However, Disney’s Pop Century will be a fun choice if you are okay with the longer commute and know you will save money. No matter what, you will create memories you will not forget.

Have a magical experience!
