What options are there for the magic band in regards to limiting a person(s) from the ability to purchase and have items charged to the attached card on file. Do you have to have a card on file with the magic band?

Hey there, Victoria, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question.

When staying in a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel during your vacation, Guests can use their MagicBands to charge resort purchases to their Hotel folio. This is one of my favorite Walt Disney World perks because I don’t have to carry cards on me in the Theme Parks — everything I need is right on my wrist! The great news is that MagicBand purchases have some safeguards built-in to ensure that unwanted purchases are not charged to your account. Each resort purchase requires the Guest to input a pin code to complete the purchase. You would be the only person with access to your code through the My Disney Experience mobile app. Additionally, when you check in at your Resort Hotel, you can let the Cast Member know which MagicBands you would like to have access to complete purchases and which ones do not need access. When staying in a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you are required to have a card on file for your reservation.

I hope this helps, Victoria! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation, stop back by and let me know
