Hi Cindy! This is a great question and I assure you there is plenty to do your first night at Walt Disney World Resort outside of the theme parks. Among other options, you can enjoy your Resort hotel, stroll along
Disney's Boardwalk or experience
Disney Springs.
The Resort hotels at Walt Disney World Resort are magnificent. Many have fantastic restaurants, great shops and fun pools.
If you want to get out and see some other sites at Walt Disney World Resort, one fun stop is Disney's Boardwalk. It's a quarter-mile promenade that offers everything from dining to shopping to street performers. Our family also enjoys the competition of the midway games. Disney's Boardwalk has such a fun atmosphere!
Disney Springs is another fantastic option. Here, you will find shopping, dining, entertainment, activities and events. Combined, there are over 180 locations you can visit so you will have plenty to do and enjoy. The shopping is incredible! You will find well-known stores as well as shops where you can purchase all of your favorite Disney merchandise. Your dining needs will be met with everything from casual locations to grab a quick snack or beverage to lovely table service restaurants where you can savor a wonderful meal. Is there a movie you have been wanting to see but haven't had time? Stop by the AMC Movies at Disney Springs 24. Splitsville Luxury Lanes is another great option! Or, if you want to take your first night to new heights, take a ride on Aerophile - The World Leader in Balloon Flight. The balloon holds up to 29 people plus the pilot and takes you 400 feet into the air above Disney Springs. The views are stunning and you can see up to 10 miles away. It's breathtaking!
