What options are available for transportation to/from a Disney resort to Port Canaveral?

Ahoy there, Kara and welcome to planDisney. I'm so excited that it sounds like you'll be planning a Disney Vacation by Land and Sea - and possibly back to Land! haha! You're in for the most relaxing Disney vacation you've ever experienced when you arrive!

After days spent rope-dropping multiple parks, walking miles and miles...and miles...and generally exhausting yourselves getting to all your must-dos, stepping onto the gorgeous ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet feels like entering a luxurious Disney Resorts Collection Hotel on the seas, with everything right at your fingertips.

From personal experience, the minute we embark, even just thinking about relaxing by the pools, taking care of our sore muscles at Senses Spa & Salon, eating delicious gourmet meals, and enjoying ourselves all over the ship with everything that's included on a Disney Cruise feels like a reward for the energy we spent at Walt Disney World Resort.

Now, as far as your question about getting your crew of nine from a Walt Disney World Resort to Port Canaveral, I would recommend contacting Disney Cruise Line directly and asking about ground transportation options. Though we've watched Disney's Magical Express sail off into the sunset, transfers to and from Walt Disney World Resort to Port Canaveral are still available for pre-and post-cruise stays! We recently stayed at Disney's BoardWalk Inn and were able to set up transfers both to the port and back to the resort, just like you're looking to do!

Your friends will be green around the gills - or at the very least, green with envy - as you post on social media that you're on your way to Port Canaveral on porthole-adorned motor coaches, and you'll have the peace of mind that comes with taking official Disney Guest Transportation! Now that's what I call a win-win!

Plus, with transfers available to take you to the airport or back to Walt Disney World Resort after you disembark, that's one less stress as your vacation comes to a close.

I'm so excited for you and your crew to weigh anchor and sail toward the horizon, Kara! Thank you again for your question, and if you need any additional planning help, you know where to find us here at planDisney - just drop another message in a bottle!

    Fair winds and following seas!
