Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Austin! Visiting Walt Disney World Resort when I was breastfeeding my little girl was a bit of a struggle, but a worthwhile one! I used the Baby Care Centers a bunch, making use of the private nursing areas, the quiet rooms and especially the essentials stop and shop!
When you’re pumping at the parks, you’ll be able to sit in the nursing room of the
Baby Care Centers and with plenty of running water, paper towels and a countertop, as well as a microwave should you need it to sterilize your pump parts. I loved using microwave sterilization bags since they folded flat into my bag. As far as storing the milk, I used a backpack with cold storage, whenever I needed short term storage, but I’m afraid the room freezers and fridges don’t get cold enough to freeze the milk solid. Since you’d like to get the milk back home, I urge you to look into Milk Stork, my preferred milk mail system. A cooler, sterile bags and shipping container is mailed to your hotel room, and you can then pack the cooler to your liking (various sizes available). The pre-labeled box can be dropped off with your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel’s Front Desk and you’ll be able to track it all the way home to your baby, where your caretaker can pop it into the freezer. I wish they had this service with my first baby since traveling through TSA with half-frozen milk wasn’t too fun…
Sadly, there isn’t another freezer available for you at the Resorts, unless you purchase a small one on Amazon and ship it to yourself. Milk Stork puts me at ease to get everything safely cold back home. If I can help you with any other vacation planning aspect, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me!! ~ Lindsey P.
