Hi Tammy,
Welcome to planDisney! I am so happy to hEAR that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! Unfortunately, paper maps are no longer mailed.
Theme park guide maps are available online and can be downloaded and/or printed. From the Walt Disney World website, you just need to click on the link that says Parks and Tickets. Then click on the homepage for each theme park. From the Magic Kingdom home page, for example, you should see a link that says
Magic Kingdom Guide Map underneath Walt Disney World® Resort. The links for the other guide maps are here -
EPCOT,
Disney's Animal Kingdom, and
Disney's Hollywood Studios.
As you continue to plan, I hope you plan to book a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel as part of a
vacation package. Also review the
dining list and start thinking about your
advanced dining reservations. We love to visit during the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort, but it is a busy time of year. So, plan accordingly. Dining reservations at this time of year are a must-do.
Once you book a vacation package, be sure to link that package to your
My Disney Experience account. Then make
Disney Park Pass system reservations. And then once your advanced dining reservation window opens, start making those dining reservations.
Tammy, when you get those maps printed, consider geography as you plan which attractions to visit and where to dine. We typically make a least a few dining reservations at our resort hotel so that we can easily get to breakfast on at least one morning and so that we can walk leisurely back to the room after dinner on another night.
Keep doing your research! We are so excited to welcome you to the magic!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
