We have an opportunity to come to Florida and have ONE day at Magic Kingdom over 4th of July. I've never been to Disney before and realize the short notice and only one day is crazy. With a 5 & 7 yr. old, what is the best advice you can give me? Thank

    Hello Veronique!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  What a fabulous plan to have a special day at Magic Kingdom Park!  Although it is sure to be crowded that weekend, you can still have a memorable time if you go with a plan.  I suggest that you plan to arrive at Magic Kingdom Park at least 30 minutes before scheduled park opening.  Also, be certain to create an account at My Disney Experience via your tablet or smartphone. Alternatively, you can check out the Walt Disney World Website.  Once you have done so, you can schedule FastPass+ selections for your favorite attractions.  I would also advise you to take the lead of your children.  I have found that the best experiences on our Walt Disney World vacations were the ones where we let our kids be the guides.  Although you may feel pressured to see it all, that may make for a stressed out and cranky experience for the kids.  Make the most of each experience and realized that you can always save something for next time.  If table service dining is important to you, be sure to make advanced dining reservations online, or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.  Have so much fun!

I wish you a truly magical vacation.
