Any opinion/advice on which restaurant is better the Brown Derby or diner (I can't remember the exact name) both located in Hollywood Studios. The menus for both sounded good. We made reservations at the Brown Derby but could change. We have a 5yr old

    Hi Leah!

Your 5 year old is going to loooove Hollywood Studios!  There are so many options for younger kiddos at that park - our favorite is Toy Story Mania!  I'm guessing that you are referring to the 50's Prime Time Cafe as the second choice.  Honestly, these two restaurants couldn't be more different!

The Brown Derby is a fine dining experience, with prices to match.  Of course, you are at Disney World, so your 5 year old will feel right at home.  The Cobb salad is famous and oh so good!  However, the 50's Prime Time Cafe is so much fun and I honestly think that your 5 year old would enjoy it more than the Brown Derby.  The servers cut up with you the entire time and kids LOVE to see their parents being reprimanded for not eating their veggies or putting their elbows on the table.  I know that we make a point of dining here every visit- my boys adore it!

So, long story short, both restaurants are great, but I honestly think that your family might enjoy the 50's Prime Time Cafe more.  Whatever you choose, you will have a great meal!
