Hey Kaitlyn- Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. This is a question for the ages. I wrestle with the same dilemma every year when determining how many days I will spend at Walt Disney World Resort. The straight cost of the annual pass verses theme park tickets is not the only factor in making this decision.
The Walt Disney World Passholder Program offers so many benefits such as discounts on hotel rooms, merchandise, restaurants and free theme park parking. I know we have saved hundreds of dollars in dining and souvenirs expenses with our annual passes.
Here is the straight breakdown for child/adult with 10-day and 3-day
theme park tickets and the Water Parks Fun & More option. 13 days of tickets will cost $601.00/$640.00 (child/adult) plus the addition of a 10-day Water Parks Fun & More option of $64.00+tax for both child and adult. I would not make 13 trips to the water parks but if you want then it will be another $64.00+tax. Total cost not including tax is $665.00/$704.00. If you want to park hop then you would purchase Park Hopper and Water Parks Fun & More option for $90.00 and your new total is $691.00/$730.00. Add in parking at $20.00/day and the grand total for one child and one adult is $1951.00.
Annual passes for Guests 3+ years old is $829.00+tax for the Disney Platinum Plus Pass. Parking, the ability to download all your Disney PhotoPass photos at no additional charge, admission to two Disney water parks and all the fantastic discounts are included. Grand total for two is $1,658.00+tax.
These are current prices and may change at any time.
Disney Dad Tip: There is no question the Disney Platinum Plus Pass is the way to go and you will be able to visit and park hop anytime you want. You will love it!
Kaitlyn, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
