In your opinion, which resort would be better for a family with two boys, ages 3 and 6, AOA or POR? I think I read you enjoy POR but I wanted to know your opinion re: AOA. We are planning to visit WDW again in March 2013. Thanks!

    Hi Kimberly!

Thank you for sending me this question directly. I really appreciate it!

If your budget allows you to stay in a Family Suite at the Art of Animation Resort then I definitely recommend going that route. However, if you are just comparing standard rooms then it is not so easy. A standard room at Port Orleans Riverside has a little bit more room than a standard room at the Art of Animation Resort. Port Orleans Riverside is also a Disney Moderate Resort with more services and amenities than a Disney Value Resort. Port Orleans Riverside has a Table Service restaurant and a water slide at its main pool.

It is really a tough question. However, I would recommend staying at the Art of Animation Resort regardless of room type. Young children love the theming of the resort, both inside and outside of the rooms. If you do decide to stay there, I do recommend staying in a Cars themed room. They are fabulous!

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions.
