In your opinion, which of the deluxe resorts on the monorail would be the most/easily handicapped friendly? We are planning a christmas week vacation, 2 rooms, one small child and a Mom in a scooter/wheelchair at all times...

My first choice would be Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Unlike the other two monorail resorts, Disney's Contemporary monorail station is located inside the hotel, meaning that if you booked a room in the main tower you wouldn't even have to go outside to board the monorail.  My second choice would be the Grand Floridian because, assuming you stay in the main building, you would have quick and convenient access to the monorail station.  The Polynesian would be my last choice because there are no resort rooms located in the Great Ceremonial House where the monorail resort station is located meaning you might have a lengthy walk to get there.  I hope that helps!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
