In your opinion is it better to go to the Extra Magic Hours in the morning or in the evening?

Hi Sherry!  This is a great question that really got me thinking!

I think this answer could vary from person to person and depends on a few variables.

If you are traveling with very young children, the nighttime extra magic hours probably wouldn't be a great option as they would most likely interfere with bedtime. However, if you have older children or are traveling with adults only, I personally think that the evening EMH are the better choice. For starters, you get up to three hours of extra park time vs. the one extra hour in the morning. I also think that they tend to be less crowded as the night wears on as people start heading back to their resort for the night.

On the other hand, morning extra magic hours can really give you a leg up on the day. It's possible to get a lot done in that one hour before the park officially opens. If you hit the most popular attractions during morning EMH, you can focus on other attractions when the crowds start arriving. The only downfall to morning EMH is that the park which has them tends to get very crowded by the middle of the day. This can be a problem if you don't have park hoppers. If we do morning EMH, we usually hop to another park after lunch to escape the crowds.

So, if I had to choose, I would go with evening EMH. However, morning EMH can be great too.

I really hope this helps. Have a great trip!
