Hey there, Tammy! Thanks for coming back to planDisney. It's great to see you here again with another planning question.
Tammy, one of the reasons I love vacationing at Walt Disney World is because I can leave my keys in my luggage, kick back and let Mickey take care of the driving! Whether I'm on a
bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom, taking a
water taxi to Disney's Hollywood Studios, flying aboard the
Disney Skyliner to EPCOT, or taking the
monorail to Magic Kingdom Park, I'm so happy not to be in the driver's seat!
Tammy, as a general guideline, you'll find that all modes of transportation to the theme parks begin approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour before
park opening. This does mean that the time transportation begins can vary by season and even week to week and park to park. So, for example, on September 1st, Magic Kingdom Park is scheduled for
early theme park entry for resort guests at 7:30 AM, so you could anticipate transportation to this park to begin around 6:30-6:45 AM. At the end of the evening, you'll see that transportation back to your Disney Resort Hotel runs approximately 1 hour after park closing so you'll have plenty of time to pick up that last-minute souvenir before heading back.
Tammy, I hope this helps as you're planning out your vacation itinerary. If you have any additional questions, please come on back to planDisney.
