Aloha, James!
Welina mai to planDisney! I am so happy you stopped by with your question. Helping Guests plan their
Disneyland Resort adventures make me happy! I grew up in California but now live in Colorado, and I still carve out time for a few magical days at Disneyland before heading over to your beautiful islands. It always feels like the perfect way to kick things off.
The
Grand Californian is a fantastic choice for your stay. I checked the reservation calendar and you are in luck! As of right now, your dates show full availability and several room types to choose from. Talk about a little pixie dust working in your favor.
Designed in the Arts and Crafts style, with woodsy architecture and an upscale atmosphere, it is my favorite of the three on property hotels. The rooms are cozy, done in earthy tones with subtle Disney touches that make the whole space feel charming and welcoming. The lobby is absolutely breathtaking. The beautiful fireplace and the live piano music that often fills the room is, I dare say, practically perfect in every way.
With the length of your visit, you may find yourself with downtime from the parks. I always recommend a
resort pool day. With three pool options, including one with a 90 foot waterslide wrapping around a giant Redwood tree stump, you can choose to be as active or as laid back as you like. I recommend renting a
Poolside Cabana for the day to make the most of your resort day time.
James, I would book those hotel reservations as soon as you can. The Grand Californian is a very popular choice and those open rooms are bound to disappear quickly.
Mahalo for bringing your question to us, and please
e hoi koke mai if you think of anything else while you continue planning your vacation. I am always happy to help answer questions our Disney 'Ohana have!
