Do you have an opening date for Cirque du Soleil show Drawn to Life? I'm hoping March!!

Hi there, Jaime. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

I, too, am a huge Cirque du Soleil fan. I actually saw the show that was previously at Disney Springs, La Nouba, from the time I was a young girl to taking a daughter of my own to experience the wonder and beauty of it all. It will always hold a special place in my heart. However, I am equally as excited for the new show to debut, Drawn to Life. It was set to open in the spring of 2020 but unfortunately, with the shut down of Walt Disney World, it was obviously delayed. It was rumored that the show might open last fall but alas that date also came and went. At this time, there is no known opening date for Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney. Unfortunately, for you and me both since I'll be at Walt Disney World right around the same time as you, I don't think we will see an opening day in March. It has been my experience that Disney likes to give plenty of notice for these things. Since it is already the beginning of March, that would only leave a short amount of time for Guests to get excited about it, fit the show into their itineraries and purchase tickets. However, I do think the opening of the show will be in 2021 at some-point. At the start of this year, the Disney Parks Blog put out an article about 21 Ways to Kick Off 2021 at Walt Disney World and the show made the cut stating we'd experience even more magic later this year. So that definitely gives me hope we will get to experience the world of Drawn To Life soon.

If you visit the Cirque du Soleil Drawn to Life official website, there is a button that you can select that says "Notify Me" and you'll be alerted when tickets officially go on sale. I just did this and it didn't take me long to set up a club member account. Also, you can keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. That is always where you can find up-to-date information about upcoming events or shows like this one.

I wish I had better news for you, Jaime. But I do think one day soon we will see the show in all of its glory and it will be absolutely worth the wait. If you have any other questions before your trip, I'm here to help

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
