Hi Annie! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to receive your first question, and I hope it's just the first of many we will hear from you!
One of the most amazing things about the
Walt Disney World Resort is that it's open 365 days a year. You can visit all the Theme Parks and even the Water Parks on New Year's Eve as long as the weather permits. However, it's important to note that all the Theme Parks have capacity limits and occasionally reach that capacity. When this happens, no more Guests are allowed to enter the park unless someone leaves.
This is a super rare occurrence, but in previous years, it happened for
Magic Kingdom and
EPCOT on Christmas Day and December 31st. If you plan to spend New Year's Eve in one of those two parks, I have two tips to help you navigate this.
First, make sure you plan ahead and arrive early. It's important not to leave the park during the day so you don't lose your spot. This is the most important thing, as we cannot predict if and when the parks will reach capacity.
Secondly, it's a good idea to check the
Disney Parks calendar a few days before your vacation. They might adjust park operating hours to accommodate expected crowds. This will help you plan your arrival time. Remember, with four incredible Theme Parks, you always have the option of changing which one you're visiting if your first choice is full. No matter what, you're guaranteed to have a magical experience!
Annie, I'm thrilled to have been able to assist you. Please don't hesitate to
reach out with any more questions. It's always a joy to help our friends like you plan their magical experiences.
Cheers
Nilson
