Trick or treat, Shane, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s great to have you hEAR!
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party is such a special
Halloween Time event, and I’m so happy to hEAR that you and your son get to experience it together! I’m happy to report that using your son’s
Disability Access Service (DAS) should be business as usual prior to the Bash. If your party is on a Tuesday or Thursday, you’ll be allowed to enter Disney California Adventure Park at 3:00 PM for early entry. I recommend stopping by Chamber of Commerce (on your left-hand side, just behind Oswald’s) upon arrival. There, you can chat with a Cast Member about your son’s needs during the party. The good news is that attraction wait times are very minimal on party nights, so you should be able to walk on most attractions, even without DAS. At a recent Oogie Boogie Bash, I rode the Incredicoaster with just three other people during the World of Color show,
Villainous!I recommend eating dinner before the Bash starts, so you can maximize your time exploring the many Character experiences and shows offered. You won’t want to miss a thing! Also, take some time to explore
Cars Land, which is transformed from Radiator Springs into Radiator Screams! I love the frightfully fun attraction overlays here, too, including
Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and
Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.
My favorite moments at the Bash were
Villains Grove,
DescenDANCE, and the immersive
Treat Trails. I recommend checking out Villains Grove toward the beginning or end of the party, since the line tends to be longer in the middle of the event. Also, don’t miss the spook-tacular Oogie Boogie-themed Treat Trail, located inside the Disney Animation Building in Hollywood Land. This was one of my favorites!
Be sure to download the
Disneyland app to get up-to-speed on show times throughout the event.
Wishing you a day (and night!) filled with Halloween Time Disney magic!
