Magic Key Holder to another, I’m happy to help you map out the best way to kick off your
Oogie Boogie Bash adventure.
I attended the party last week and can tell you that there are designated entry gates for Oogie Boogie Bash guests. Even if you're already enjoying Disney California Adventure Park with your Magic Key, you'll need to exit and re-enter through the party entrance so Cast Members can scan your event ticket, verify you're a party guest, and guide you through wristband pickup. You'll also receive your event map and treat bag, which are essentials for a frightfully fun night!
A little friendly ghost host tip: the lines right at 3:00 p.m. can be a bit scary. Everyone is eager to get those extra party hours, so the entrance queues tend to be at their longest then. Since you'll already be in the park, I'd recommend continuing to enjoy your day and waiting until around 4:00 or 4:30 p.m. to exit and re-enter. My group went through around 4:15 p.m., and there was still plenty of time to hop on a few attractions, grab dinner, and get into the Halloween spirit before the party officially began.
Now, let's talk about one of my favorite new treats at this year's Bash:
Madam Leota's Swinging Wake - A Haunted Mansion Street Party! It is wickedly fun. In fact, the music has been haunting me in the best possible way ever since. I am still singing it a week later! The show features themed floats filled with beloved Haunted Mansion ghosts and ghouls, along with energetic live performances between each float. The entertainment pauses at several locations along the route, giving guests a chance to enjoy all the eerie excitement up close.
If you haven't already considered it, I highly recommend the
Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party. Not only does it save you from camping out for a viewing spot, but you'll also enjoy reserved seating and a delicious assortment of sweet and savory treats. Even better, the show stops directly in front of the reserved viewing area, and the performers interact with guests throughout the performance. It was a perfect way to end our night, as we attended the second show of the evening.
Bonus tip: The bag that is provided can fill up quickly! We brought larger bags that we incorporated into our costumes and didn’t have to worry about overflowing candy!
