Hello there, Monica, and happy haunts to you! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh, what a frightfully delightful question!
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party is one of the most spooktacular events of the year, and it’s so kind of you to share the magic with a friend. In fact, I recently found myself in this very situation—when I couldn’t attend the Bash just last week, I passed my ticket along to one of my fellow planDisney panelists who got to enjoy all of Oogie’s mischievous fun firsthand!
The good news is that it’s quite easy to gift an event ticket like this. The simplest way is to send the recipient a screenshot of the ticket’s barcode. As long as the barcode is clear and easy to scan at the gate, that should be all they need for entry. And don’t worry if the name listed on the ticket doesn’t match their name—when they scan it at the entrance, a photo will be taken and linked to their ticket at that time, making it officially theirs for the rest of the night.
That said, if you’d like to make things even smoother, I’d highly recommend having the ticket’s recipient link the ticket to their
Disneyland mobile app before the event. This helps ensure their ticket stays safely stored in the app—so if they accidentally lose track of that screenshot or their phone battery gives them a fright, the ticket will still be connected to their Disney account. To do this, they can open the Disneyland app, tap the menu (☰) button, and select “My Tickets & Passes.” Then, they’ll tap the blue plus (+) sign in the top right corner and choose “Link Tickets & Passes.” Since it’s tricky to scan a barcode that’s on their own phone screen, they can instead tap “Type ID” and manually enter the ticket number before selecting “Link Media.” And just like that, the ticket will magically appear in their app! Your friend will be ready to stroll into Disney California Adventure Park and join Oogie Boogie’s frightfully fun festivities in no time.
Lastly, Monica, even if you or your friend aren’t able to make it to Oogie Boogie Bash this year, there’s plenty of festive fun to be had across the entire resort! Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are brimming with
Halloween Time magic—from the
pumpkin-filled Main Street, U.S.A., where the giant Mickey Mouse pumpkin smiles for every photo, to the ghoulishly transformed attractions like
Haunted Mansion Holiday and
Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, making every moment delightfully eerie and oh-so-magical!
So, there you have it, Monica! Here’s hoping your thoughtful gift brings the lucky ticket recipient a night full of treats, not tricks—and maybe even a few villainous surprises along the way!
Have a magical day!
