Seasons screamings, Leigha. Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
Like you, I will be heading to
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party this year. This fun and festive event encourages creativity and costumes for Guests young and old! Before you go to the party, I encourage you to look at the
special event costume guidelines on the Disneyland Resort website. It outlines everything Guests need to know when planning their costumes for the event.
Leigha, the final say on what is and is not permitted lies with the Cast Members at the security screening area before you reach the theme parks. Some rules that might pertain to your Nightmare Before Christmas Keyblade are:
- Costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
- Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
If the Keyblade, falls into either of these categories, it will not be permitted at the Disneyland Resort, and you will likely be asked to return it to your car or discard it. I've seen it happen every year that I've gone to Halloween parties at the
Disneyland Resort, and it is a really crummy way to start the evening. Leigha, if there is any doubt it will be allowed, it should probably be left at home. I'm sorry if this unwelcome news!
If you have any other questions, please reach out and let me know. I'd be happy to answer any more questions for you. Leigha, have a wickedly fun time at Oogie Boogie Bash!
Happy haunting,
Melissa
