Ghoulish greetings and welcome to planDisney, Judith. We're so glad you're here to share this question with us. You have our undivided attention and we're absolutely dying to help you prepare for the bash.
Congratulations on securing tickets to
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party, the premier event that happens during
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. So you've got the tickets, now to plan for what costume you'll don for this spooktacular occasion. I'm so glad to hear that you've already reviewed the
costume guidelines to start.
While face paint is not explicitly addressed in these guidelines, masks of any kind and headwear that covers the face are not allowed for guests aged 14 and older. These rules suggest that a guest's face should remain visible and not altered so much that their identity is hidden. You should be able to wear face paint as long as it allows you to be recognizable. Keep in mind that park entry is ultimately at the discretion of Cast Members, so be prepared to make any changes they may request.
The walking stick falls under the same guidelines. While it is not listed as an item that is not permitted in the theme parks, Cast Members at security have the final word and say on what can or cannot be taken into the theme parks.
You are in for a wickedly fun evening filled with lots of treats (and perhaps a few tricks here and there). Keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog as we get closer to the spooky season for additional details. I can hardly wait (on pins and needles) to see which villains will be gracing us with their presence on the treat trails this year.
Well, Judith, I hope the information I've shared is helpful as you begin to prepare for a frighteningly fantastic evening. Here's to a spine-tingling good time at Oogie Boogie Bash!
