For the Oogie Boogie Bash; does buying the ticket to the party get me into the park or do I need to buy a park ticket and a oogie boogie ticket? For reference we are only wanting to go for the party itself, we are not planning on spending the wholeday ther

Good day, and welcome to planDisney, Annika. Thank you for bringing us your question. Halloween time at the Disneyland Resort is one of my favorite times of the year because, "...looks like it's Oogie's turn to boogie."

It's the time of year when the giant Mickey pumpkin makes its appearance and lots of carved pumpkins appear in the windows of shops that line Main Street, U.S.A. There are frighteningly delicious seasonal treats and a few tricks along the way. Something I always look forward to during the season is the Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party which is scheduled to return in the fall of 2023.

The party takes place at Disney California Adventure Park and is a ghoulishly good time. I have great news for you, Annika. Purchasing a special event ticket for the Oogie Boogie Bash grants you entry into Disney California Adventure Park. Better yet, you can enjoy entry up to 3 hours before the party festivities officially start (subject to change). So to answer your question, no additional theme park ticket is needed, unless you would like to enjoy the park before your special event ticket allows you entry into Disney California Adventure, or if you'd also like to visit Disneyland Park.

My group and I love to take advantage of the extra time in the park before the party officially starts. We'll line up any mobile food & beverage ordering for the evening, hop on an attraction or two and make our plan of attack for the Treat Trails. Quick tip: make sure to cruise by "Radiator Screams" at night for the spooktacular Haul-O-Ween decorations.

We don't have any official dates for this spine-tingling event or know when tickets will go on sale quite yet. I recommend keeping a watchful eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates and news as this is where the information is typically released.

Finally, if you're looking for ways to kill time before the party gets started, I encourage you to check out Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit. This is a fun activity that's also scheduled to return in the fall of 2023. You will lose your minds hunting for magical pumpkins scattered throughout the Downtown Disney District.

I hope this helps to clear the fog hanging around your question, Annika. If you think of any other questions, please hurry back to ask us. We can't wait to welcome you to the party as "Mr. Oogie Boogie is sure to get his kicks."
