I have an online ticket to the parks. I do not have a physical admissions card. Can I still link my online tickets to my bands? My bands are from 2023 and I’m hoping I can use those for my upcoming trip in 2 weeks.

Welcome to planDisney, Caroline! Can you believe that in just a few more days, you'll be surrounded by the magic of spooky season at the Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to check out this list of seasonal treats to try while you're exploring the parks!

Caroline, ask anyone who knows me, and they'll tell you I'm a little obsessed with what I call the "most magical accessory on Earth" - the MagicBand! I've acquired quite a collection of these bands over the years, and I use them interchangeably on my visits (I like to match them to my outfits!), so I'm happy to share that as long as your theme park ticket and your MagicBand are linked to the same My Disney Experience account, you can absolutely still use your band to access the magic!

To make sure you're ready to go, follow these steps in the My Disney Experience mobile app:
    • Click the three horizontal lines at the bottom right-hand side of your screen
    • Select "MagicBands & Cards"
    • Find your name and click the three dots at the top right to see your linked bands
    • Click "manage" to be sure your MagicBand is still linked and active
As long as your band is active, you're good to go!

Caroline, I've got MagicBands that date back to 2018 that are still active in my account, and I've used them on recent trips without any issues. If you do run into any problems, you can also request an admissions card or use Disney MagicMobile Service to enter the parks, tap into your Lightning Lanes, and link your PhotoPass photos! If you decide to upgrade to a MagicBand+ during your visit, there's usually a good selection at the Emporium in Magic Kingdom and World of Disney in Disney Springs!

I hope this helps, Caroline, and I hope you have the best time on your upcoming visit! If you have any other questions, come see us again here at planDisney!

    See you real soon,
    Alison
