Online I have seen some pretty spectacular window decorations by guests in the resorts. Is this common? It seems like a super fun way to add to the overall experience. It’s not something we routinely see in Canada.

Hey there Michelle! It’s so nice to see you back at planDisney! Walt Disney World Resort is synonymous with decorations so let’s get right to your question about decorating while staying onsite at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel.

I love seeing Walt Disney Resort decorated for so many holidays of the year. Whether it’s the impressive Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll presented by AdventHealth, the rich Fall colours at Magic Kingdom Park, or one of the incredible Gingerbread displays at select Disney Resorts Collection Hotels, the decorations add so much pixie dust and magic! Depending on the season, you might see that Guests have added their personal touches or magic to their Resort rooms by way of window decorations. I have good news for you, Michelle, I spoke with a Cast Member who confirmed that Guests can decorate windows so long as items are used that will not damage the windows or be difficult for Housekeeping Services to remove once the Guests have checked out. Some items that would work well could be vinyl window clings, banners, or even a strand or two of lights that can be held by using mini suction cups. I’ve also seen some cute signs and plush characters sitting on the window sills.

Michelle, I hope this information helps with planning your trip that’s just around the river bend. Please stop by planDisney if you have any other planning questions, I’d love to help!

    See ya real soon,
    Candace
