Hey there, Sara! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question about park reservations!
There is one central
theme park reservation system that all Guests and Cast Members access. The
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar shows availability for different types of
tickets,
Magic Key Passes, and those staying at
Disneyland Resort Hotels.
For theme park tickets, you can look at the
reservation calendar for availability up to 120 days in the future. The process is the same whether you are booking a reservation for the same day or in the future. Availability for next day reservations depends on the time of year you are visiting. During busier seasons, it could be more difficult to secure a reservation the day before. Then again, as other Guests change plans and cancel reservations, availability can pop up at the last minute. I have seen this happen before, so it’s worth continuing to refresh the reservation calendar if you don’t see your desired date(s) available right away.
Once you have checked availability for the dates you want, you can
purchase tickets and make your reservations at the same time on the
Disneyland Resort website. You can also purchase tickets and make reservations within the
Disneyland mobile app. Personally, for Guests less familiar with the ticket and reservation process, I recommend looking at it from a computer instead of your mobile phone as it may be easier to follow the steps to select a ticket and a reservation date.
I hope this information helps, Sara! Good luck securing a reservation for the date of your choice.
By the way, a new
planDisney Podcast episode just dropped today, and it’s all about Disneyland Resort! You might pick up a few more tips here about making your visit even more memorable.
The magic awaits!
