Online ordering for a kid under 3. Are they free? How do I go about ordering

    Hello Kristen!

Welcome to planDisney! I love Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering at Walt Disney World Resort! It helps me to plan out my meals and order them from anywhere in the Parks- such as in line waiting to board an attraction! Knowing I have some chicken tenders waiting for me when I get off Slinky Dog Dash is the best.

Now, while children under 3 can enter the Parks compliments of Mickey Mouse, they do still have to have their food paid for if ordered specially for them. They can eat for free off an adult's plate or at an all-you-care-to-enjoy or buffet Table Service restaurant such as The Crystal Palace. When ordering for my kids via Mobile Order, I don't just look at the kid's menu but at the side options which can sometimes be better portioned for them. Sometimes my daughter just wants some plain white rice at Columbia Harbour House and I am glad it is an option as a side. You are also allowed to bring food and drinks into the Parks as well as long as they are not in glass containers or need to be heated or prepped. There is also a rule about strong smells not being allowed. Maybe a fruit pouch or crackers is a good filler option for your little one!

Don't forget that when making a dining reservation include your little one in the headcount. They may be little but they are counted! If you book any character dining experiences I highly suggest the Fantasmic! Dining Package with a meal at Hollywood & Vine. You can meet your favorite Disney Junior Stars at breakfast or you have lunch or dinner with Minner and her friends while receiving a ticket to use at Fantasmic! Your kid under 3 is free and can enjoy the food from the buffet! That ticket gets you access to a great reserved viewing area right in front of the magic and you don't have to wait in line. It's a win-win-win situation. Yummy buffet meal, characters, and a great view of my favorite nighttime spectacular in Walt Disney World Resort!

I hope this helps and you all have a great time!

    Happy Planning!
