Welcome to planDisney, Brett! I'm always excited to see another Disney Guest arriving from Louisiana and I'm happy to help you out with your question today!
Brett, when you complete the
Online Check-In process for your Disney Resort hotel reservation, your card will not be charged at that time. This process allows for you to make room requests, confirm your resort arrival time, and ensure you have a valid credit card on file for any purchases you might make and charge back to your resort folio during your stay. On the day of your scheduled arrival, Disney Resort hotels will place an
authorization hold on your card for any remaining balance due plus an amount for incidentals (at this time, that additional amount is $100, but is subject to change). You card will be charged every fifth day if your stay is longer than 5 days; if it is less than 5 days, it will be charged on the day of your check-out. You can find the
Payment Card Policy online here to review all the specific details so you will be prepared!
Online Check-In does help to simplify your arrival because it allows you to take advantage of
Direct-to-Room Service; thereby skipping the front desk entirely and reporting directly to your room. If you arrive before your room is ready, you can easily store your luggage with Bell Services and take advantage of your Disney Resort hotel's amenities, including access to the swimming pools, complimentary transportation to the Theme Parks, and since you will be arriving in 2025, you can even head to a Disney Water Park to take advantage of
complimentary admission on your check-in day! It's a great way to splash right into the fun!
Brett, there are so many exciting offerings and attractions that you won't want to miss while you're at the Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to take the plunge on
Tiana's Bayou Adventure - as a Louisiana native, I appreciated all the ways this attraction blended the magic of New Orleans with the magic of telling Princess Tiana's story! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled not only on the attraction, but also throughout the queue for subtle nods to the culture of New Orleans (and maybe even the enticing scent of beignets!)
I hope this helps, Brett, and I hope you have the best time making memories at the Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any other vacation planning questions, come on back and
let me know!
Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler,
Alison
