Welcome to planDisney, Jennifer!
Thank you for visiting us with an excellent question. Your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is just around the corner, and I cannot wait for you to experience all the magic that awaits you!
When you use online check-in, My Disney Experience requires you to link a credit card to your account. On the date of check-in, the remaining balance on your reservation is automatically charged to your credit card. Online check-in will not allow you to link
Disney Gift Cards as a method of payment, so if you have a room-only reservation and wish to pay for your balance using your gift cards, I recommend skipping online check-in and stopping by
Front Desk at your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel upon arrival. Cast Members will be more than happy to assist you, and you will not have to worry about charges to your credit card.
You are also welcome to use your Disney Gift Cards to pay for purchases charged to your room during your stay. Be sure to stop by Front Desk the evening before your check-out date and tell Cast Members you would like to pay for expenses charged to your room account using Disney Gift Cards. I recommend monitoring how much you charge to your room during your stay because the credit card on file is automatically charged after you reach a certain daily amount. If you have any questions, simply stop by Front Desk and request to see your room folio.
It was a pleasure answering your question, Jennifer. I hope this information is helpful and that you come back to visit us once again real soon!
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
